This is besides for the brilliance of the concept itself, a system of bartering warehouse space and auto-purchasing of shipping labels. It makes shipping cheaper and more efficient, compared to any other software I'm familiar with. And the best part? Cahoot is designed so that they only make money if you save money!

The costs to offer nationwide 1-day and 2-day shipping have always been prohibitive for our business in spite of our large volume. Not anymore. "Finding long-term, trusted partners is mission-critical to our growth. I’ve been burned before and I was hesitant to try Cahoot’s new peer-to-peer fulfillment concept and their human-less shipping software. I wasn’t sure how reliable their network partners really were or how great their software truly is. If our orders got messed up and too many customers gave us negative reviews, that would seriously damage our reputation and profitability. It’s hard to regain a customer’s trust once you’ve lost it. I’ve been using Cahoot for nearly 18 months now, both the warehouse exchange program, and their automated shipping label software. The warehouse exchange program is a no brainer. It allows me to offer 2-day shipping on my website in addition to driving more sales nationwide SFP on Amazon. And they make it extremely easy to fulfill orders for other sellers that ship inventory to me. It also enables new revenue streams because while I’m on the west coast, I have rather large products that I source on the east coast. I’m able to sell those SKUs that I wouldn’t otherwise be able to carry because it’s unprofitable for me to move them back and forth between coasts. The shipping label solution is 10x faster than any other (based on shipping over 100,000 packages using Cahoot), and I’ve tried several of the most popular ones. It automatically rate shops and creates the best labels without any effort from me. All I have to do is print them. It has all the popular features, but by far, the three best things are that I save several hours a day (time is so precious for SMBs), it seamlessly sends orders directly to my dropship suppliers, and it rate shops across all my carrier accounts that have different rates for different size/weight SKUs. That dedication to high performance is built right into the Cahoot software and the DNA of the company. I have shipped over 100k packages (and counting) using the Cahoot software, so I know. If I have an issue (which is seldom), I contact the Cahoot Support and it’s resolved in minutes. This app saves me a ton of time and money every single day!

After discussing the basics of my business and the 3PL solutions I was looking for, she set up a call with Manish of Cahoot’s Solutions team. Manish understood the fulfillment challenges I was grappling with and empathized with the frustrations of dealing with inconsistent and sometimes lacking seller support. It felt like I was having a conversation with an old friend who gets what I was going through. Manish answered my questions and made some recommendations then created a customized fulfillment solution to get me on the right track. While the onboarding process was relatively simple and easy, implementation had its own set of unique challenges. This is where the Cahoot team shone the brightest. We are an online-first eCommerce brand and work with Cahoot for 99% of our fulfilment needs: from B2C website orders through to B2B wholesale orders, Amazon SFP and replenishing Amazon FBA. Our inventory is placed nationwide for fast and affordable B2C orders, with an anchor node for large shipments. The most impressive part of working with Cahoot is the speed at which B2C orders are fulfilled, and the consistently affordable shipping rates obtained. Cahoot is clearly geared towards Amazon Seller Fulfilled Prime, and excels at it via a network of strong fulfilment partners and a deeply knowledgeable team. Amazon SFP is such a demanding program, it is very difficult to find partners with the ability to pull this off. Looking ahead, we look forward to ongoing improvements in their software integrations and reporting capabilities. My inventory is received in 2 business days in Cahoot as opposed to waiting for weeks without communication from Amazon. Besides supporting my 2-day deliveries nationwide using economical ground shipping, I can also use the Cahoot shipping software to print all the shipping labels in my own warehouse for my orders that I need to ship out. All the labels come out automatically without any human input which saves me a lot of time and money. The support team is super responsive, competent and GREAT to work with. I am happy to say that Cahoot under promised and over delivered! And, btw their Shopify native integration works well and is super reliable.”

I saw 18 5* reviews and installed the app but discovered that you have to fill in a form to activate the app on your store. I filled in the form on 13 Feb and got an automatic response email and that's it. Not a good start for an app that's new on the app store.

"“We can help you ship nationwide at a super low cost!” Blah. Blah. We’ve been bitten by that dog before, so when Cahoot approached us, we just smiled politely. But after chatting with them, we realized they might be on to something. We dug a little deeper, and discovered that this peer-to-peer thing might be the real deal. I’ve experienced first-hand the power of peer-to-peer with other services like Uber and Doordash. So I thought. “Maybe it could work for ecommerce order fulfillment?” We were up and running with Cahoot within a week. Onboarding team – amazing. Fast forward three months, and we are rocking and rolling with nationwide SFP shipping. And yes, at really low costs. 😊 We’ve seen large spikes in sales in states in the West, South West and the Northeast. The network partners are super professional and fantastic, and it’s cool to help them with their shipping too. It may sound strange, but there’s this feeling that we are all in this together. We made the mistake of trusting this company. This is our experience. They hid their full terms of service till after they withdraw payment and after inventory is checked in to their warehouse. I caution anyone looking into doing business with Cahoot to ask for the full terms upfront and have your attorney review it. There is no need for them to come up with surprise terms like a lien on you inventory or a clause that prevents you as a customer from ever leaving a negative review or prevents you from using another 3PL or competitor. I would question the positive reviews (especially since they are trying to stack up positives). Their agreement requires customers to leave positive only reviews. Keep that in mind when deciding who to work with.

I've been working with Cahoot for a few months now. I am happy with the customer service and their fulfilment service. Their back-end system is great and very easy to use and track shipments. It essentially all automated for me now. I don't have to worry about merchant fulfilled shipments!

We're a warehouse and e-commerce seller that has taken advantage of both sides of Cahoot's 3PL offerings. The training for sending out shipments on behalf of other sellers was seamless. Easy label generation, printing, and packing. It's a breeze for the warehouse crew. They provide all the resources you would need for the outgoing side of a 3PL system. This experience caused us to explore shipping out our own units to other nodes in their network. We've experienced deep savings on many of our 1-2 day shipments since we're located on the east coast.

"We had a horrible experience with Cahoot. Beware when doing business with Cahoot. We had a very unpleasant experience and question their honesty and integrity. After we signed on with them and after they took our money for a year upfront and after shipped our inventory into their warehouse, they presented us with a new lop-sided Agreement that no sane person could sign (I apologize to anyone who signed this agreement because you felt you had no choice). We had to take back our inventory and lost over $10000 with this company. They refuse to refund for prepaid service and damage caused by their warehouse. (1) I believe that no honest company would present a new agreement and service levels that are undisclosed till after they take your money and hold your inventory hostage. (2) They accept no responsibility for any intentional or non intentional errors or damage to your inventory while demanding their fulfilment partners accept full responsibility for the same for any errors or mistakes and (3) they are falsifying positive reviews as @Corey Tournet reported in his review. Many of the reviews here are by ownership or management in Cahoot."

If you do a lot of Amazon SFP, this could save you a lot of money.
Pros: We don’t do any SFP or even sell on Amazon and the setup was not ideal for our modus operandi. The solution can save Amazon merchants a lot of money.
Cons: Most of the issue we had could have been prevented if we’d taken our time and made sure that our product fit this kind of model.
Overall: A learning experience. Not going to give them negative points. Do your own due diligence to make sure your channels and products fit this model.

"They have a company culture of making many mistakes, then gaslighting clients. They just don't responsibility for anything, they think they are slick and can talk their way out of anything. All sorts of double orders, missing shipments, bugs that take days to fix. They got us suspended from Amazon Seller Fulfilled Prime 2 times, once because they didn't even have a pickup scheduled at a location (hard to believe but true, their level of incompetence is astounding). If you request they fix their own mistakes, they will act like it's a huge favor they are doing for you, that they are so important their time is worth $250 an hour etc. They just don't get it, when you are in the service business, your job is to serve clients not constantly make excuses. Just one example, we had a shipment going to the LA area, which we even told their CEO about. Then when it arrived, they said it had to go way up north to Pleasanton CA. Their main rep said he didn't realize it would cost another 2k to truck it up...you can't make this stuff up! They denied all responsibility and we got stuck with the bill. We ended up paying around 5k to get our product and lives back, unless you enjoy having your company held hostage, avoid this company! These guys also have fake reviews on Facebook, written by their own employees with their own names!"

Usually they respond within minutes and there's no delay in shipment. As a fulfillment partner we are also required to conduct bi-weekly cycle counts which helps to keep all parties on the same page. To this date, we've never been unable to fulfill an order due to missing inventory. Operating as a fulfillment company is not easy. It takes a ton of organization and flexibility but the Cahoot system really takes on a lot of the work. I'm hopeful that Cahoot will continue to innovate and update their technology. I love that they actively reach out and talk with us about our needs and what features we'd like to see implemented. I can see that they're invested in our success and I appreciate their commitment to a long term and positive relationship.

I had an issue with my current 3PL which is why I was exploring Cahoot but Manish helped fix the main problem with a solution that involved a change of a setting that I think helps solve the problem. If other issues persist with our current 3PL I'm definitely coming to Cahoot first.
